Martin specialises in shooting streetstyle and content for fashion creatives, and at the most recent Fashion Week and beyond, Martin shot Sabrina Bahsoon (aka Tube Girl, a huge Social Capital muse), Brian Ingram and Sara Baceiredo.

Can you introduce yourself in a few sentences?

Hi, I’m Martin, I’m a fashion photographer from Copenhagen. I focus mainly on shooting Copenhagen Fashion Week and independent creatives in the local fashion scene. 

What do you do for work? 

So besides my independent photography, I also work with visual marketing at Copenhagen’s biggest luxury department store, ILLUM. 

How did you get to where you are today?

I owe a lot of it to my friends. I had a really good network of friends in the industry from very early on, who just pushed and supported me a lot when I was just starting out. 

What does living a good life mean to you?

To do the things you love with your friends, without worrying about what the numbers in your bank account say. But also being able to explore living and working in various countries. 

What’s something you wish you’d known 5 years ago?

Buy a film camera before the digital camera, cause the price of those film cameras has only gone up lol. No, but honestly I just wished I had started as a film photographer, rather than having to learn that gear much later. 

Who’s someone you look up to? 

Hugo Comte is my all-time favourite photographer. His sets and compositions are always on another level. 

What’s the best life lesson you’ve learnt? 

Confidence. If you feel like you know your stuff and you believe in yourself, you can do so much. 

What do you dream about?

I dream of a few things. To live in a lakehouse, to own a studio, to be able to work remotely. 

What is one thing you recommend?

Always listen to yourself first rather others. It’s your life, don’t let others make decisions for you.
